Ancient Homelands | Second Life

The Ancient Homelands web site for the past two years was a blog. This new site is not a blog. With the old site I was always in a little bit of anxiety to publish something so that the site would attract more readers and Google would give me higher ranking. The old site did well, but I don't care for that anymore. This is a product web site with support documents for my customers. That's all it is. There are no more tweets from Twitter and no more Facebook friends. This feels better, sort of liberating. This site contains dry and uninteresting short articles about my products and for customers looking for web based support documents, they will find those also. I left SL for a couple months, closed down my store, took my products off of Xstreet SL and thought about my hobby in SL for a few months. At the encouragement of friends I am back, but this time I have opened a three level, 2048 meter store on mainland, not like my former 17,000 meter estate store. And now, with my new attitude towards Second Life, I'm taking my time building new products, and I'm no longer being anxious that I was not in world today. So visiting here will be boring. T wo buildings are currently in development. The first is the Safe House, a walled compound built to fit on a standard 512 meter property and the second is the Gazebo, a hefty 9.5 meter diameter garden gazebo with a very deep base to position on mountain tops or flat land. The Safe House is a richly textured house with a four sided wall around it, just enough that you get light in through the six windows but you cannot see your neighbors though the windows and they cannot see in. Originally designed as a Hippo security enabled building for inventory backup, the Safe House is ideal of those wanting a deep and rich textured simple house. The Gazebo is not a light hearted garden variety gazebo, but a study structure with strong pillars and a imbedded texture changer. Both products will be available in the store in February of 2010.

Our product line of commercial drink dispensers is currently being built. Each product will have the feature of the product owner branding the product with their own logo and the drinks dispensed can also be branded. The first product to reach testing is the Office Coffee Pot built around the same design I see here in my real life offices kitchen area. The coffee pot will be available for sale by the end of January. In the design phase is the espresso machine, the multi-drink (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) dispenser and the ever popular multi-cocktail dispenser with multiple types of drinking cups and glasses, all of which can be branded. This line is ideal for your SL office, or as a gift through our gift vendor to your customers. The full product line will be in the stores spring of 2010.

These are 1 prim rugs with 15 textures each. The textures are built into the no-modify texture changer script inside each rug. Only the rug owner can change the texture by clicking on the rug. Our rugs use the highest quality oriental rug textures with a no-lag fast texture changer script. All our rugs are resizable. Ancient Homelands rugs are delivered in the 5x5 meter size because this size best displays the textures of the rugs for your initial review. The rugs textures are professionally created using fast loading Targa or .tga textures and once your web browser has loaded the fully rezzed texture into its cache you can cycle through the rugs faster. The Oriental Round rugs have only 6 textures and these are free in the Ancient Homelands store. Rugs are delivered with copy, modify and no transfer permissions. The texture changer script is no modify.

L ocated on the roof of the Ancient Homelands store, the Builders Cabin is on the same sim as the important New Citizens Incorporated (NCI) South sandbox and educational center. The cabin is a fully Hippo Technology compliant building with Hippo security, group, rent, media, doors and windows contained within the rental box for the renter. Renters on Ancient Homelands are managed by Bot Core the service bot who is responsible for automating the rentals and the group membership for rezzing rights on Ancient Homelands property. The cabin contains an optional furniture rezzer for tenants who prefer not to buy their own furniture. With a balcony and adequate main floor space and the NCI sandbox within sight of the front door, the builders cabin is an ideal home shelter for the aspiring builder in Second Life.

T he 103 prim Sky House is spacious for one avatar and ideal for a couple. Making use of rich textures and Art Nouveau windows and doors the Sky House has flowing lines and an attractive mini-mansion appearance. This is an original design by Ancient Homelands, using the highest quality textures, a built in home control system and optional furniture. Features included in the Sky House are Home Control System for doors, windows and lights, built in furniture rezzer with 10 custom furniture pieces, many with built in texture changers, built in balcony and roof teleporters with no configuration required. Furniture can be individually rezzed or all at once. Fully rezzed furniture adds 14 prims. The Sky House is packaged with Rez-Faux technology for perfect rez and easy operation. Dimensions are 20meters wide by 20 meters deep by 10 meters high. Lifetime upgrades to all registered owners.

O ur 13 prim Vendor Booth is spacious enough for up to 36 vendor panels, plus store signs on both ends. Making use of rich textures the Vendor Booth has flowing lines and an attractive appearance. This is an original design by Ancient Homelands, using the highest quality textures, a built in texture and tint control system and optional furniture. The available texture and color choices are: Texture & color inside, outside, floor, flag and flag pole. The inside has 24 textures and 31 tint colors, the outside has 20 textures and 31 tint colors and the floor 36 textures and 31 tint colors. An optional package is included in the purchase box and that includes Easy vendor panel ready to sell and pay, give panel for giving anything, desktop give panel, stool with long animated sitting script, table with 35 textures. Footprint for the Vendor Booth is 10m Wide x 4m Deep x 9m High.
